‘Shogun’ has stated that he began training in Muay Thai at the age of 15, and began training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu at 17. He was successful in BJJ championships at the Blue & Purple belt level. Additionally to his black belt in jiu-jitsu, he also has a black belt in the Chute Boxe Muay Thai.
